I sometimes forget, but it’s nice to remember Jack on his birthday.
My doodle makes Kirby look a little dark and brooding. But I’ve seen worse. (Like this, for instance. Very weak effort, on reflection. It also reminds me not to use certain Stan Lee coined nicknames…)
When Kirby wasn’t creating worlds, he created throwaway worlds in his spare time just for fun. Like the pic below. Which most fans have seen anyway, but it’s pretty good, ain’t it—which is to say, better than most people could do period, let alone in a spare time context. Jack was a bit talented, I think.
